The Good Stone in the basilica of Saint-Nicolas-de-Port

Holiday time, so today a subject to make us smile or to help some of you...

In the basilica of Saint-Nicolas-de-Port there is a Bonne Pierre, a Good Stone.

For years I have heard about the stone to walk on to be married in the coming year, and for years I haven't seen it !

Last time I entered the basilica I decided I had to find it. I wouldn't leave the place without knowing where it is ! I had heard it was in the main aisle so I started walking, looking at my feet or nearly. And two minutes later, there it was !

I know it is too late for me, far too late, but with the photo you also know where the stone is. So if you visit the basilica with a daughter, a niece or a friend still to be married, you'll be able to push her discreetly on the stone.

But be careful ! She musn't know about it. If she knows I don't know it if works. And I have never heard about men trying to walk on the stone, so no guaranteed results for you, young and older men.

Après autant d'années je ne l'avais jamais vue ! (Saint-Nicolas a retrouvé sa main et sa crosse, il va falloir que j'y fasse un saut en pensant à toi)

OUI, j''ai vu cela dans le journal ; il ferait bien également de nettoyer toute le partie autour de cette belle statue blanche....

Enfin trouvée ! C'est ici même, que Catherine de Vaudémont venait prier pour me pas reste une Damoiselle ; elle a épousé Henri III, roi de France .
Tu imagines mon sourire en passant sur cette pierre le jour de mon mariage : cela vient de faire 48 ans et j'espère que dans deux ans, pour nos noces d'or, nous serons réunis dans cette même basilique, qui m'a vu naître...
