Georges Moustaki and Edith Piaf

Georges Moustaki died this morning and by listening to the radio I realized I only knew the songs he performed, like Le Métèque.

I didn't know he has written famous songs performed by other singers, among them Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, Barbara, Serge Reggiani.

And who hasn't heard Milord at least once by Edith Piaf ? Georges Moustaki created it for her.

This song is just going through the years, not heard often but remembered. Georges Moustaki was a talented song writer, a poet. I think he deserved a place in my blog today.

since i don't speak french, i don't understand the words, but i do like to hear her sing. just something about the enthusiam in her voice when she sings.
