End of 2016 in Lorraine

It is strange how a small holly tree makes us think about Christmas and New Year time. And today, this small tree is really beautiful and ready to start 2017.

Lorraine is cold and foggy but we have had a few sunny days with a splendid blue sky in the last weeks. Frost is everywhere and it is worth taking a few pictures.

It could start snowing on Monday and people of the Vosges moutains would be happy. Here, in the "flat" part of Lorraine we are not so enthusiastic.

Anyway we are all happy to welcome a new year.

I wish you all Bonne Année et Bonne Santé. May 2017 be a really good year. I'll try to be more present in this new year with more articles.

Holly always makes me sentimental. We had none in our farm community so occasionally someone that had some would send some or come and visit and bring it as a gift. So it was always connected with a special event. Thank you for the reminder; Jason and Kay Lynne both have some in their yard so when I'm there I get a reminder. We are expecting our weather to get much colder but I'm hoping no more loss of electricity. We hold the same new years wishes for you and want to send our love and joy at knowing you
